It’s getting to that time of the year when we would all like to learn how to make more money. The winter is drawing in, the evenings are getting dark and cold and we can feel the familiar dread of the Christmas period creeping up.

Now dont get me wrong, I love Christmas, for me its the whole thing minus the build-up. I love the presents, the food, and the films that are on TV.

It’s the build-up I hate. I hate having to work out how much money I’m going to need and what presents to buy as well as working out if I will have enough money to keep me going through January, which always feels like 3 months, not just one.

So today I am going to show you how to make an extra £100 in one week. What would an extra £100 mean to you? It could mean the start of a holiday fund or it could pay for most of your Christmas.

For some people, it is just a nice little amount of money on the side but for others, it could make a big difference. If you try all of the ways I’m going to show you will hit that £100

£100 in one week is far easier to accomplish then showing you how to make a lot of money. There are various ways to make a little here and there. Added up over one week they should give you £100 or hopefully a little more.

How To make an extra £100 in one week

Do Some Surveys:

When it comes to how to make more money on the side then surveys are one of the things that many people like to do. The two sites I tend to use are Oh My Dosh and 20 Cogs, Both have surveys and also sign up rewards for signing up for various companies.

If you stick to just surveys and do a few per evening then I would expect you to make around £15-20.

I signed up to both these sites and on Oh My Dosh I had made £20 in under an hour, I did do a lot of the sign up offers as well though. Just make sure you set reminders on your mobile to cancel the sign up offers before the end of the free trial.

20 cogs are very similar in that it has surveys, competitions, and offers. What it also does is give you £5 just for signing up, Not only that but when you confirm your email address they give you another £5. So that’s £10 earned in less than 10 minutes. You dont even have to do any of the offers.

I would recommend the offers though as you can make some good money and far exceed our £100 goal. When you are looking at how to make money on the side these 2 offers pages are very popular and for a good reason.

Amount Earnt £20-40

Clear-Out/Declutter:

When you are looking at how to make more money then this has to be the easiest way.

I love having a bit of a clear-out. It is kind of a 2 for 1 deal. You get to find items that you can sell to make a little cash and you also end up clearing space and tidying the house a little too. Its a win-win for me.

In my house, I can’t tell you the number of DVDs, CDs, books, shoes, handbags, and clothing that never gets watched, listened too, read or worn.

Most households I suspect would be the same. Even if you managed to find and sell a couple of items an extra £20 shouldn’t be hard to make.

When it comes to where to sell your stuff, I would suggest heading online. eBay is a good place to start although there are generally listing and postage fees that may apply.

You may have an online auction type app as I have in the Uk. We have one called Shpock. This is where you can list things very quickly via your mobile then have people come to your house to pick the item up and pay cash.

Amount Earnt: £20-40

Matched Betting:

This one is too easy. Matched betting is one of the biggest side hustles available in the UK at the moment. Matched bettors are making anywhere up to £1000 a month by simply using a loophole to make the most of any bookie bonuses.

I do match betting on a fairly relaxed basis. I spend maybe 90 minutes on a weekend and still make over £200 per month.

As matched betting can get a bit difficult to grasp in some places I recommend you use a matched betting member site such as Profit accumulator.

The great thing about Profit Accumulator is that they will give you your first 2 signups for free. This means you can sign up for free, they will then guide you step by step on your first 2 bets. This will guarantee you anywhere between £30-40 profit tax-free.

If you enjoy that then you can go ahead and join up permanently at a really cheap monthly price which you will make in a day.

The first 2 bets which are on the site with full guidance will probably take you no more than an hour or 2 to complete. Easy money. See below for more details.

Amount Earnt £40

Get Creative:

If you have any creativity then you can sell your skills on sites such as Fiverr and Etsy. Let me enlighten you on how easy it could be.

I promote a lot of my posts on Pinterest, It is a great platform and helps me with traffic. The only real issue is you need lots of pretty graphics and I’m about the least creative person you could ever meet.

Enter Etsy, On Etsy, there are plenty of people who have time and a hint of creativity and can produce a package of Pinterest graphics as a template. You pay anywhere between £4-£15 for some simple templates. As a seller, you could easily get a few orders in a week and probably make £100 just from this.

The beauty with this is that once you have put in the hard work and put them onto the site to be downloaded you dont need to do anything as it is a digital download. Occasionally you may have to give advice to people who have purchased but that’s about it.

Amount Earnt: As much as the effort you put in. £0-£100

Surf The Web:

You can get paid to surf the web. If you spend a lot of time just surfing from one website to another then you may as well get paid to do so.

Inbox pounds is one of the better sites out there. Once you have signed up you can get paid for simply clicking on emails, visiting websites and clicking on links.

You won’t get rich or be able to retire. Opening a couple of emails and surfing some sites will only reward you with Pence. It does add up and if you spend a couple of hours an evening doing this then you can make enough to add to our tally.

Amount Earnt: £10

Hosting Foreign Students:

This one is easy money. My wife and I did this for around 4 years. Although occasionally you can get the sullen miserable students, on the whole, they are all well behaved great kids.

Simply check your local area and sign up with one of the students hosting schools. You can also check with your local foreign language school.

The amount you can earn varies on a lot of variables. The £100 target for one week can be met with just this outlet.

Amount Earnt: £100

Get Paid With Cashback:

Now I’m not talking about making expensive purchases just to receive 2% cashback. I’m talking about switching to cheaper insurance or energy deals.

You can get paid to switch from any provider to another for free. The example I will give is when both my wife and I decided our car insurance was too expensive.

We went through the company Quidco and used Gocompare who were offering cashback at 5% at the time. Not only that but any insurance deal which was taken out through Quidco meant £80 cashback.

In the end, we saved £8 per month on my car insurance. We saved £10 a month on my wife’s as well as getting a grand total of £160 cashback.

Amount Earnt: £160
