My 20 Cogs Review
Although it has a slightly weird name, 20 cogs is essentially an offers page which rewards users for completing various offers. If you are wondering why name it that, it is because it stands for Competitions, Offers, Gaming, Surveys.
These are the type of offers you will be completing. When you complete an offer 20 Cogs get paid by the advertiser and they then share this cash with you. So here is my 20 cogs review.
Some of my posts may contain affiliate links. This simply means if you purchase something after clicking one of the links I may receive a commission at no extra cost to yourself. Many thanks for the continued support.

20 Cogs / How Does It Work?
So it works in a similar way to other sites like this such as Inbox Pounds and Oh My Dosh. When you sign up you get a £5 starting bonus. Not only that but another £5 when you confirm your email address and complete a simple 4 question survey. So that’s £10 for doing pretty much nothing.
You have 20 cogs, or what I would call gears on the left of the homepage. Every time you fulfill an offer one of these cogs turns green. Once that happens you move onto the next one and so on.

The main difference between 20 cogs and other offer sites such as Oh My Dosh or Inbox Pounds is that you dont achieve a payout until all 20 cogs have been completed. Once that happens you will have anywhere between £100-200 which is a nice little bonus before Christmas.
When all 20 cogs are completed you can still continue to do offers as they pop up on the site and continue to earn money. You just cannot claim any of your earnings until the initial 20 cogs are complete. When you have completed the 20 cogs you will get a claim button appear. It is then just a matter of letting them know how and where you want your cash sent. You will have the choice between payment to your bank or PayPal account.
Downsides:
As with any ways to earn cash online there are a few drawbacks. When doing research for this article I noticed it got some really good reviews. There were however a few bad ones from people who didn’t read all the information before starting and then couldn’t withdraw their cash as they had not completed all the 20 cogs.
There were also some bad reviews left about some of the offers as people were then being charged for sites they had signed up to. Unfortunately, nearly all the bad reviews I came across were left by people who didn’t read fully or understand how this all works.
A few of the offers are to sign up with various companies for either free or cheap monthly trials. What I do is then set a reminder on my phone to cancel these trials at the end of the free trial period to save getting charged a full months fee.
This is perfectly fine to do and you won’t lose money that you have earned on your 20 cogs account. What it does is saves you from ending up with 3 or 4 monthly payments for services you dont require.
How Much Can I Make With 20 Cogs?
Well, it will differ slightly as there are quite a few offers and you may opt for different ones then somebody else. You should make between £100-200 before being able to withdraw.
The Bookmaker sites pay pretty well. As long as you haven’t done too much Matched Betting then you should be fine. Matched betting is one of the best side hustles out there. It can earn you hundreds of pounds per month tax-free. The only issue is if you have already signed up to some bookmakers it then means you cannot take on some of the 20 cogs offers.
As you will spend small amounts of money completing some of the offers then you will need to deduct this from your final total as you want to know how much profit you made, but £100 upwards of profit is a normal amount.
Also, do not forget that once you have achieved your payout and finished all the cogs you can continue to do the offers as they appear.
Tips To Get The Most Out Of 20 Cogs
So you might want to know some great tips before you sign up and start completing offers. I have reviewed a few of these offer sites and there are a few things I feel new signups should know before jumping in headfirst.
Email:
Do not use your own personal email address for any of the offers. Believe me, it can be annoying getting 10 or more emails from various offer sites throughout your working day. Set up a free separate email account such as Gmail. This means all emails stay in one place. From there you can either choose to read them or ignore them without them getting mixed up with personal mail.
Bank Account:
Now for me personally I have a separate bank account. I use this for Matched betting so this is perfect for when I am completing some of these offers. It makes it easy to see when 20 cogs have paid me as well as seeing any small payments I have made and to which company I made them.
Read Carefully:
This one sounds simple enough but you can slip up. Some of the offers have details that can be easily be missed but could end up with you missing out on being paid and we wouldn’t want that. Read and then Re-read all the instructions for the offer you are completing.
Screenshot:
When you have finished an offer I would take a screenshot. This means if there are any hold-ups further down the line or any discrepancies then you have proof the offer was completed.
Referrals:
Make sure you let everyone know about 20 cogs as your earnings can be topped up quite nicely by getting referrals. You can earn 5% of what your friend earns forever as well as £20 when they finish the 20 cogs. Seems like a good deal to me. My 20 Cogs Review
So that’s my 20 cogs review, I hope you join up and see how easy it is to make some extra cash. When combined with other offer sites such as Oh My Dosh and Inbox Pounds you can make a pretty penny. Any questions then simply leave a comment and I will get back to you.
I love sites like 20 Cogs and Oh My Dosh! They are great when you need a quick cash injection, or saving up money for a holiday or Christmas like you mention. You do have to stay on top of the admin though and make sure you cancel the trials! I like your tip about using a separate bank account. That must make it easier to keep the money separate for your savings goals too.
Hi, Becca, Yes I have a second account for my matched betting so tend to use that one. I also set reminders for when the trials end so I dont fall foul of extra charges. Gives us all a little boost before the holiday periods. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the review Lee. I recently received payout of around £175 and found it on the whole to be a fairly straightforward and hassle free way to make a few extra pounds. Would certainly do it again having gone through the process. Good tips regarding 2nd email and screenshots etc! Definitely a must to minimise hassle 🙂
Thanks for the comment, Yes it is a worthwhile process. £175 is not to be sniffed at and all with very minimum effort. That would certainly help towards the family holiday or Christmas period. I havent had any issues as of yet but have heard from people that have hence the screenshotting your progress as proof.
